Our Company

Alobar's Lighting and Sound was founded in March of 1991 in Saint Louis, MO. We provide professional audio, lighting, video equipment and special effects for sale, rental or event production. Our clients include schools, houses of worship, governmental organizations, recording studios, night clubs and restaurants, theaters, and their allied markets. It is Alobars' goal to provide customers with the highest quality equipment at the most competitive pricing.

Diane Stecher - President

Diane began her career with Alobar's in 1991. In October of 2006, she became the president and owner of Alobar's Incorporated, when the past owner, James Winn retired. Diane earned a degree in business administration from UM-St. Louis. She Began her career in the sound industry when she was 16, working for Sound Central Ltd. In her free time. Diane is a regular volunteer providing the gift of hearing by participating in hearing missions with Starkey Hearing Foundation. She also is a regular volunteer at the Painted Turtle Camp where children with chronic life threatening illnesses are able to have a camp experience. She also volunteered as a member of the national council as the national president elect of the Delta Zeta Sorority. Diane is an avid cardinal baseball fan and loves spending time outdoors.

Ted Kretschmar

Ted has been with Alobar's since 2003. He has extensive knowledge in event production and product to suit every customers need. If you are planning an event, large or small, corporate or personal, he will be able to guide you in choosing the perfect lightning, sound, or video equipment. For budgets large or small, you will get professional results you will love. Ted will personally meet with clients to ensure their vision is understood and comes to life.

David Banks

David joined the Alobar's team in 2015 to assist our team in every aspect that we have to offer. He has extensive knowledge in audio and video production, and works closely with clients to create the most professional and memorable event possible.
